The Innova Tern is a high-speed distance driver with substantial high-speed turn and high glide, designed for long, sweeping right-moving lines for a right-handed backhand throw. It is one of Innova's more understable fast drivers, sitting between the Shryke and the Mamba in stability. The Tern is used for big S-curve drives, long turnover shots, and tailwind lines, and it becomes a strong roller as it seasons. Its glide keeps it carrying well past where a more overstable driver would start to fade out. This is a good fit for intermediate players who want to shape long flights without needing elite power, and for stronger throwers who need a dedicated turnover driver.

Common questions

Is the Innova Tern understable?
Yes. It has significant high-speed turn combined with high glide, which is what produces its long turnover and S-curve flights.
What is the difference between the Tern and the Destroyer?
The Tern has more turn and more glide, which makes it easier for intermediate players to shape long flights. The Destroyer is more overstable and better suited to headwinds and max-power throws.
What is the Tern good for?
Long S-curve drives, turnover shots, tailwind lines, and rollers once the disc starts to beat in.
