Disc golf distance drivers are speed 10 to 14 discs with wide, sharp rims built to travel as far as possible. They need real arm speed to fly the way they were designed. Thrown without it, they fade out early and go shorter than a midrange would.

These are for open holes where distance is the whole objective. Understable distance drivers are the easier place to start, since they need less power to turn over and will hold a longer line at moderate arm speed. Overstable ones are the answer for headwinds and for players who throw hard enough to turn a neutral disc over.
