The Discraft Zone is a low-profile, overstable putt and approach disc that fights wind and finishes with a reliable fade. Discraft describes it as a disc that holds its line without flipping on long approaches and delivers predictable putts even in windy conditions, and its low glide keeps it from sailing past the target. The Zone is most often used as a thrower rather than a putting putter. It handles forehand approaches, backhand hyzers, spike hyzers, and standstill upshots, and its torque resistance makes it especially trusted on flicks. The flat top and thick rim give it a confident grip for both grips. This is a staple utility disc for players at any level. Is the Discraft Zone good for putting?
It can be putted with, but most players use it as an approach and utility thrower. Its low glide and strong fade make it better suited to upshots and windy conditions than to regular putting from the circle.
What is the difference between the Zone and the Luna?
The Luna is straighter with more glide, which makes it a better fit for putting and touch approaches. The Zone is noticeably more overstable and more dependable in wind or on forehand shots.
What is the difference between ESP and Z Line Zone?
