The Innova Pig is an overstable putt and approach disc with a prominent Thumtrac rim and hardly any glide. Innova notes that it holds its line well even in extreme wind conditions and performs equally well on backhand or sidearm throws. The Pig is built for hyzer putting, sidearm approaches, and backhand spike shots. Its very low glide means it drops fast and rarely blows past the target, and its dependable fade makes it a trusted option when the wind picks up. The thumb track gives a secure grip for forehand throws. This is a favorite among experienced players who want a consistent overstable option for the short game. Newer players may find its low glide makes distance harder to come by, so it works better as a utility and wind disc than as an everyday putter.

Common questions

Is the Innova Pig a putter or an approach disc?
It is classified as a putt and approach disc, but most players use it for approaches, upshots, and windy hyzer shots rather than as their regular putting putter.
What is the Pig good for?
Hyzer putts, sidearm approaches, backhand spike hyzers, and any shot in strong wind where you need the disc to hold its line and drop quickly.
How does the Pig compare to the Kastaplast Berg?
They fill a similar role as low-glide overstable approach discs, but the Pig has more glide and more fade, so it carries a little farther and finishes harder.
